Hi there, last night I placed my first order for 2 months supply of E- ES. F and AE and CC. I plan to start on a dose of 6,4,2 and 2 tablets respectively. My question is, will it be OK/best to start with all four products or should I just start with the AE and CC for a couple of weeks before introducing the E and F.

I would add however that I have been on 5mg Finasteride for about 15 months kindly prescribed by my lady GP on the National Health Service to help prevent any further hair loss or thinning. This has worked and in addition I am also benefiting from reduced libido. In fact I'm sure the little boy has shrunk and he certainly can't raise himself above the horizontal lol which suits me fine. I also get a slight aching feeling in my testicles which fortunately doesn't hurt and is not uncomfortable. Perhaps this is a sign of the Finasteride working working on my T production.

So in view of this should I go straight into using all the products from day one?  I have been coming onto this forum for over two years now and at last decided to take the plunge as not a lot is happening National Health wise having seen my GP over a year ago about my GD. But that's another story.

Start with the Evanesce, Feminol, and CalmCompanion.
If you do not see or feel changes fairly quickly, then add the AndroEase.

Thanks Dianna I will do that and keep you informed of my progress. Should I give it a month or so reference any changes before considering the addition of A?

At least 2-3 weeks....

Well my first 2 month's supply has arrived and I've just taken my first doseage - 3 E and 2 F to be followed by the same doseage this evening plus 2 C's I can't wait to see what happens and of course I will keep everyone informed. Thanks Dianna for your help.

Dianna, is Calm Companion currently in stock and available in the UK as I realised that I only ordered one months supply instead of two. If there is a delay in supply (I have almost three weeks persona; supply left) should I use some of my supply of Andro Ease instead, as I am not currently taking that as a result of your earlier recommendation?

Yes -- Sam has inventory available for our European friends.

Sam's supply of CalmCompanion is not, however, available for re-import into the USA...

Yes -- use the AndroEase you currently have.

Today I ordered another month's supply of E & F and 2 month's supply of CC to equalise stocks. I also ordered further supplies of AndroEase which I haven't used yet on Diana's advice as she advised me to see what happens over the first two or three weeks with just E, F & CC. Two weeks have now passed and nothing measurable has been achieved which of course is not surprising..

However, the ache in my testicles is much less pronounced and not as continuous as previously. I'm not sure how much is psychosomatic but I do seem to feel the occasional tingle in my breasts but this could be due to shaving those horrible hairs, also my nipples do seem to harden more easily and are harder more often. They also seem to change colour quite frequently to a sort of yellowy green colour. Mmmm interesting and I also keep wanting to rub them and feel my breasts. I do already have 'man boobs' but I get the impression that they are either fuller, or heavier but not necessarily bigger. I certainly don't have any lumps or nodules behind my nipples, as yet. Sitting down and leaning slightly forward I pass the 'pencil test' but look forward to the day when I can pass this test standing up!

Two other things. The day before yesterday I was out walking and all of a sudden the small of my back involuntarily arched inwards which had the effect of making me walk more erect with my butt more stuck out. I became more aware of a feminine type gait. Secondly and on a more personal basis, I have been able to orgasm purely by rubbing the end of my penis against the palm of my hand and using my fingertip. I have done this only once since starting the programme and I felt that orgasm reach my toes as there was a very short but distinct tingle in my big toe at the point of orgasm and this is something I have never experienced before. I haven't tried again as quite frankly the urges to do so are not there that much.

So Dianna, I have decided to fight the big 'T' as much as possible and hit it hard by taking the AndroEase as well. I will start taking them after I have completed my first month on the programme which will be in two weeks time and hopefully this will move me forward just that little bit quicker.

I certainly feel relaxed and very happy with what I am doing. I even decided to chase up my doctor with regard to my referral to NHS specialists for my gender dysphoria (waiting over a year now) which was something that I had been content to leave on the back boiler. Now I want to speed up that process as much as possible! I don't feel happy with my body and haven't done so for a long time. It is beginning to feel really alien to me and the need to get my mind and body into equilibrium is becoming paramount.

I have a very positive feel about this programme and will continue to keep everyone advised of my progress.

Would be great if you could get a testosterone/estrogen/DHEA test.  I began with a 194 estrogen, so I can see why I've got great results so soon,...probably from snacking on Balance (soy protein) Bars.  My 90 day hormone test is coming up in about two weeks.  I told my "primary gatekeeper" I needed a the hormone blood test to check for DHEA imbalance,...look up the reasons for having a hormone test and match it to your "gatekeepers" intelligence.  My personal view is that just as 86% of Americans are incompetent, so too are 86% of allopathic PhD's,...so to get what you want, you must guide the conversation, like Luke Skywalker.  Otherwise, just pay the couple hundred dollars.

It's interesting how study after study comes up with a population ineptness of 86% .  An AP poll in the summer of '04 said that 86% of Americans still believed Iraq had WMD's,...in that same summer a poll concluded that 86% of Bush supporters could not find Iraq on a map,...in addition, 86% of Republicans in 2004 believed that "terrorist cannot invade the US because they have to fight in Iraq."

Of course things are not always 86%,....100% of 2004 Bush supporters "chose not to know anything that contradicted what they already think is right."

Thanks for the advice, Eudeita. I will be no doubt be seeing my GP (I'm in the UK) very soon and I will ask her to arrange for tests to be done to check my levels. I do have some results from about 15 months ago which she will have on record so we will be able to make comparisons. I'm enjoying my journey into womanhood even if it is going slower than I would want. My goal is to have SRS but I may have to wait until my work and family situation is more conducive. Though desperate to transition, I take every day as it comes and feel reasonably in control. I am leaving everything to my doctor and won't take any synthetic hormones unless they are prescribed by her. Dianna's product is a godsend and I am so happy that I have decided to to take positive steps to alter both my physical appearance and my mental outlook so that they are more in tune with the real me. Interesting about the 86% thing!

Well it's now virtually 3 months since I started taking Evanesce and I as promised I am posting an update on my progress. In addition to starting my feminisation regime I also decided to go on a diet and I am pleased to report that I have lost 22 lbs in 14 weeks. My starting weight was 215 lbs and now I'm down to 193 lbs, my target being around 155 lbs by Christmas or thereabouts

The effects of Evanesce can best be highlighted by looking at a few of my before and now measurements (all in inches)

18th April        26th June    Total loss
Chest (measured under armpits)            43.75            41.25            2.50
Bust (measured over nipples                44.50            43.25            1.25
Ribcage (meaured directly under bust)  42.00            40.50            1.50
Waist (at female position)                  45.50              40.75            4.75
Hips                                                42.00              40.50            1.50
Buttocks                                          42.00              40.00            2.00
Thigh                                              23.00              21.50          1.50

My bust is now 2 inches more than my chest (previously 0.75) and 3.25 inches more than my ribcage (previously 2.50) so some definite improvements there with my breasts being slightly more pronounced than previously. Also some significant iprovement in the waist area as well!

I am delighted with Evanesce and it's effects. I can't stop looking at my budding breasts in the mirror and also I keep wanting to touch my nipples which have also increased in size very slightly. They are certainly more responsive, becoming harder much easier and more often. They also have a little more feeling as well. No sign as yet of any breast buds, as such, or any hard areas behind my nipples but the fat layer in my breasts does feel like it is ribbed rather than smooth. Neither have i experienced any pain, just slightly more tender nipples (the right one particularly)

During the three months I have experienced aches in my testicles and also in my penis. These aches come and go but at the moment they are more pronounced in my penis which is a lot more tender than before. It feels as though it has a permanent itch along the whole shaft but it's an itch that doesn't need scratching....if that makes sense!!
It is much more sensitive in the shower, for example if the water from the shower head hits it directly, it can hurt a little. Dianna, I guess this is normal?

Other news is that I have now seen an NHS phsyciatrist and have been officially diagnosed as suffering from Gender Dysphoria and therefore transsexual. Of course I knew this before I saw her but this now means that my GP can apply for funding so that I can be referred  to a Gender Identity Clinic for treatment and assistance in furthering my transition.

So everything looks quite positive at the moment and I can't wait to see what changes will happen to my body (and mind) in the next three months. I will, of course, keep everone informed. I am so looking forward to the future! Love you all, my sweet sisters. xxxx

Carolynanne, thank you for those kind words. Everything does indeed seem to be coming together. It will still take a while because the NHS in the UK does not usually move very quickly with regard to the treatment of transsexuals but in a way this suits me, particularly from a family perspective. But now I do feel that with every tablet I take I am moving one step closer to achieving my goal and that is a very uplifting feeling. The next step will be a little more electroysis, for example, so slowly but surely, that is my motto. And by doing it this way I think I am following Dianna's splendid advice of not rushing into things and allowing others to effectively transtion alongside me, gently letting them adapt, perhaps almost subconciously' as the changes to me will be slow, slow, slow.

By Carolynanne On 2010-06-27 07:47AM Parent
Susie, I sympathize with you about the NHS. I have watched all of TGJennie's vids on Youtube throughout the years and it seems like a real horror story regarding thier attitudes toward GID. It is great that you are making progress at a pace that works for you. You will get there and we are here for you :)

Hugs,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, yes there can be problems with the NHS but for me it's the best option as I cannot afford to go it alone, at least not yet. I also think that there are better surgeons elswhere and if the truth were known, I would much rather go to Thailand for my SRS but the other factor is I'm 61 and I don't have many years left as most surgeons will not operate on girls over 65.
For me, as I walk further down this road, body image is becoming increasingly important. I know I do not have the body I should have and yearn to match my body with my mind. Consequently,I feel as though I can never be complete until I have a vagina rather than a penis. I know some would say this is purely cosmetic and it's what is inside that counts but for me, I feel as though I have been deprived of my birthright - which was to be and grow up as a born female. I shall never experience those teenage years, for example, of what it would be like to live life as a normal woman, to feel what they feel, their hopes and desires. All of us here have missed out on so much but at least we all have the chance to put things right, at least to some degree.
Sorry, I seem to have gone on a bit, guess I'm just releasing some of the tension I sometimes feel inside!
Hugs and kisses, Susie

I completely understand what you are saying. I'm 42 myself and just starting on my path after many years of trying to fit in. Trust me, you are not alone in your feelings and desires. We all need to release some tension at times, I will always listen.

Thanks for confirming that Dianna. It's really rather exhilarating knowing it will become more sensitive as time goes by. I suppose it is becoming more like a clitoris in this sense, which of course is extremely sensitive (so I'm told, lol). So every time I feel that ache, tenderness, sensitivity down below, I know that I am making progress, killing off the dreaded 'T' and replacing it with something much more preferable - oestrogen

Hey Susie, I'm curious about the 5mg Finasteride.  In the US, doctors prescribe 1mg Finasteride for hair, which costs about $80+ per month.  I've heard of some getting a 5mg Finasteride and cutting them in half.  In the US, 5mg Finasteride can actually be free, depending on ones insurance, because it is used for prostates.

Are you actually taking the whole 5mg Finasteride for hair?  What was the condition of your hair before and now,...after three months?

Thanks

By Tracy-O On 2010-06-27 06:32PM Parent
> I've heard of some getting a 5mg Finasteride and

They cut them in quarters for hair loss treatment, not half.

> In the US, 5mg Finasteride can actually be free,

Well, its not "free".  Someone is paying for it.  Even if the insurance company "pays for it", the patient actually paid for it when they paid their insurance premium...  But anyways, this is exactly why many doctors will prescribe Proscar for there patients who are concerned about hair loss.  It is very common practice.

> What was the condition of your hair
> before and now,...after three months?

It takes twelve months to be able to see if Finasteride is able to stop hair loss.  This is well documented.  Then it takes at least another six months before you will be able to see if any hair is growing back.  This is also well documented.  From there it can be quite a while before you can see if the hair that has grown back is cosmedically significant...  There are no quick fixes for hair loss.

If Susie is taking 5mg Finasteride daily, I'm curious if she is having accelerated results.  As for "free 5mg Finasteride", I could get 5mg Finasteride at no personal cost due to my retirement policy,...however, 1mg Finasteride is not covered AT ALL, and the cost to me personally is $82 for 30 1mg tablets.  That's a $thousand bucks for a year, versus $0 out-of-pocket for 5mg Finasteride.

Personally speaking (and I'm seeking no comments on this) the system seems backwards.  One has to struggle, putting enormous strain on the body, to reach a point to have a vagioplasty,...whereas if the vagioplasty came first, there would be a lot less struggle, stress, and costs.  There would be no need for Finasteride,...or Evanence,...4 Feminol per day would probably do fine.  I'd say an intensive (3 times per week) therapy for 3 months is plenty to determine if one is acceptable for a vagioplasty.  Besides, the medical profession says that an average male introduced to female hormones, experiences dramatic negative emotional changes, and cannot stay comfortably on them for more than 3 or 4 days,…whereas a transgender has a positive emotional response... In other words....before starting hormones, a transgender is imprisioned within a field of negative emotional experiences.  Yep, there should be a 3 month accelerated option.

By Tracy-O On 2010-06-27 07:39PM Parent
> If Susie is taking 5mg Finasteride daily, I'm
> curious if she is having accelerated results.

As is the case with almost everything else, taking more does not cause faster results.  Folks who are taking 5mg Finasteride to treat the prostate experience the same effect of reversing hair loss - and over the same period of time - at the same pace.  That amount of time does not change if you increase the dose.  This is also the case with the other hair loss treatments.  Using more Rogaine (Minoxidil) will not give you faster results.  Using a Laser Comb more often than recommended will not give you faster results either.

By Eudeita On 2010-06-27 08:10PM Parent
So then it probably isn't so good to be taking 5mg Finasteride for hair, when 1mg Finasteride does the same job over the same period of time,...and likewise, if one was to split a 5mg Finasteride in half, that 2.5mg may not be as much of a problem as an entire 5mg Finasteride for hair growth alone.  I'm saying half, because to quarter such a pill may be difficult.

Hi Eudeita, when I first went to see my GP about my gender dysphoria in November 2008 I asked her about the possibility of her prescribing Finasteride for me as I was very worried about potential hair loss, as recently my hairline had begun to recede and I had noticed a very slight thinning on top but no bald patches as such. She said that this would be no problem and was going to prescribe the 1mg tablet on prescription but on checking her computer found that this was not prescribable through the NHS. However, the 5mg tablet was. This is of course used in the treatment of the prostate. Consequently, she then said that we would prescribe the 5mg tablet instead! What a great lady doctor!!!!
However, I do not bother to split the tablet and I take the whole 5mg doseage daily. However, doing this can have certain other 'benefits' such as an increase in breast size and impotence. Indeed, this is what has happened to me. I have developed 'man boobs' (I don't think Dianna quite approves of this expression) and my breasts are definitely bigger than they would have been without the drug. I'm not exactly impotent, but desire has been reduced as indeed has the size of my penis which has shrunk by about a third. So some very positive benefits for me!
With regard to my hair and the reason for your question, I have now been taking the drug long enough to confirm that my hair loss has stopped and whilst I cannot say that it is growing back (it takes at least 18 months of continual use to assess this and I have only just arrived at around the 18th month mark)) I reckon my hair in general is a little thicker and if I let it grow down to my eyes at the front for example my fringe does seem to be stronger and thicker than before. One thing is for certain. I am deeply grateful that I been able to obtain Finasterde totally foc and hate to think what would have happened to hair without it. I think I would have been devestated.
I hope this helps
Hugs and kisses Susie

By Eudeita On 2010-06-28 02:29PM Parent
Yes, hair is a huge issue with me too.  I'm being positive.

"Man boobs?"  Have you put on weight?  Or are you actually developing mammary tissue?

Thanks very much for sharing,...hearing about your direct experience is quite helpful.  I will eventually have hair again, just a matter of time (as TracyO said, perhaps a year).  If the feminizing doesn't get me to a satisfied point, then I'll go down to Mexico for ReGenica.

By susieg2008 On 2010-06-28 02:57PM Parent
No I haven't put on weight. In fact in the last three months I have been on a diet and lost 22 lbs. I have lost that weight from all over my body except my boobs so I guess the introduction of EV to my regime almost three months ago that has had the effect of maintaining my boobs to the extent that they now seem slightly fuller and more pronounced, though of course no where near the finished article. I guess this could possibly be mammary tissue, but in truth I really don't know. Have a look at the measurements I posted earlier and you will see what I mean. My aerolas have also increased in size, too but they were very small to start with - only 20mm circumference when not hard. Now the left one is about 25mm and the right one 23mm. Progress there, I think also. Hope this helps.

By Eudeita On 2010-06-28 04:00PM Parent
22# weight lose and breast enlargement doesn't sound like "man boobs" to me.  More like Tanner stage 2.  That's awesome.

I've been E-ES 6 and F 4 for four and a half months and also have aerola gain and now 4cm in hemi-circumference,...but we must keep in mind, that this growth is strongly supported by genetics.  If you have a sister, there is a good chance you'll be similiar, although alittle less.  My initial breast growth spurt (3cm hemi-)took me by surprise, but since then they've been pleasantly fulling out.

Besides hair, my other dilemna now is that I've verbally "come out" with people I know and are meeting, but I'm still very male looking.  I think they're expecting quicker results.  LOL

By Dianna On 2010-06-28 05:48PM Parent
> I think they're expecting quicker results.  LOL

What they are expecting is faster transition, not quicker results....

They want to know what your interpretation of "woman" is....

Yes, having looked at the Tanner Chart then stage 2 would be a fair assessment as I'm certainly not stage 3. My breasts are developing from underneath my armpits rather than from directly in the front of my chest. Neither do I have any hard areas directly beneath my nipples which some girls refer to, though they are surrounded by seemingly harder areas, and my breasts do not appear to be developing from directly behind my nipples as I also think happens with lots of other girls. Perhaps Dianna could enlighten us on this type of breast growth. Am I developing real breast tissue if it is not coming from behind the nipples rather than as with me from the armpits inwards?. Hope this makes sense!
Can you please expain your measurement for your initial breast growth - 3 cm hemi- as I'm not quite sure what this means or how you took the measurement. Thanks xx

The breast measurement called the hemi-circumference is the measurement along the contour of the breast, across your nipple, top to bottom, from where your breast projects away from your chest,...measured in a sitting position.  This should be part of your measurement journal.

My growth is a mound or pad of this wonderful feeling tissue, very unlike any other area of my body,...two perfect handfuls.  The nipples have been incredibly erotic since about the 6th week on E-ES 6 and F 4.  Whatever arousal I've lost in the penis has surely been made up for through the nipples and breast pad.  Around the house I wear loose soft knits because I find myself continually touching them.  Oops, wasn't meant to be TMI.

If there is any way you could discuss breast development with direct female family, they may recall how their breasts developed,...which maybe how yours are.  You are becoming your mothers daughter.

:)

By susieg2008 On 2010-06-29 12:22PM Parent
Thanks for that info. If Im 'measuring correctly then it's 4 cms to the nipple from underneath my breasts and then a further 6 or 7 cms cms (approx) to where I reckon my breasts start protruding from my chest - total 10/11 cms.

Unfortunately' it isn't possible to discuss this with female family members. but my ssister has large breasts and I recall that my mother's were a reasonable size also. I think I could expect at least a 'B' cup

Also I know what you mean about touching your nipples and breasts!!!! I also am pleased to say that I have a decent, if not quite full, handful!!

By Eudeita On 2010-06-29 12:49PM Parent
Yes, one measurement, from below the nipple where the breast elevates from the body, up and over the nipple, to (and this for me is the harder place to identify) where the breast extends away from the chest,..but you can get close.  I can see why the "sitting position" makes a difference.  Mine's now at 15 cm,...but keep in mind, that's in relation to my body.  My spouses hemi-circumference is 17cm, but her breasts are full and Venus-like (or as she says, ethereal) because of her small frame.

:)

One thing to keep in mind is that women have a higher static body fat percentage than men. It is quite normal during transition to loose weight while gaining breast formation and other female attributes because muscle weighs more than fat. As you loose muscle, you are gaining a bit of body fat and it is being distributed in a female manner.

If I remember correctly, the average body fat content for a male is around 18% and the average for a female is around 30%, give or take.

So maybe that I'm also losing muscle as well as fat. Perfect! To be honest, this never really occurred to me as I have such a lot of fat to lose, I just assumed that would go first. So, are you saying that whatever muscle I do lose on my diet and of course  through taking hormones that this will be directly replaced by fat?

Not necessarily Susie. Muscle tissue doesn't actually turn into fatty tissue. What actually happens it that the muscles actually atrophy away from a male muscle density toward that of a woman's. The body will also collect more fat and distribute it in a female pattern. The key is like others have said in other threads...working out, controlling your diet, and sticking to it. This will create an effect of sliding into your ideal weight for your frame instead of just dropping pounds and hitting your ideal weight instantly.

Thanks Carolyn for that information. I want to get down to about 150/155 lbs by Christmas and I am pretty confident I will achieve this goal. I am eating sensibly and drinking lots of water. I'm not working out and realise that I should. However I think I might have to consider something like walking rather than gym work due to my arthritic knees (used to play Rugby and now suffering because of that).

I am aiming to resculpt my body as much as possible by losing the fat from the usual male areas and then with the help of hormones put it back on in the female areas. All things are possible!

Working out can be a simple as taking a daily walk. The key of working out is heart rate. In order for any workout to be of benefit, you have to get your heart rate up. It doesn't have to incorporate weights in a gym or anything of the like.
