I just started taking ES today and I was wondering when I will notice my first changes.

It depends on your own genetics, weather or not you are taking the recommended doses - and how consistant you are about taking the recommended doses.  It is reasonable to expect to start seeing changes after about four to six months on the recommended doses - if you are consistant about taking the recommended doses...  When folks start saying to you "You look different.", you will know changes are happening.  It is also very helpfull to take photos every other month.  When doing so, stay consistant - same lighting, same backdrop, etc...

Some things that will help you a lot are taking an hour long brisk walk as many days per week as you can (preferably outside - like in the park), drinking plenty of filtered unflavored water every day (2-liters), a healthy diet and making sure you get enough sleep every night (seven to nine hours)...  Oh and most importantly, stick to it!

There is a theme in this post.  Did you catch it?  Consistancy is VERY important.

Oh one last thing, the sooner you start electrolysis the better.

> I just started taking ES today and I was wondering when I will notice my first changes.

In addition to everything Tracy-O has written,
it is important for you know that "how soon" also depends on your body.

There are people within the TG/TS community,
who were born intersexed in ways which are sometimes impossible to see directly or by routine doctor exam.

Also, there are M2F TG/TS people who were born with one, or both, testes, undescended, for example.

There are also people within the TG/TS community
who's bodies produce only very small amounts of testosterone.

For some of these people, first physical changes can appear fairly quickly.

You need to know that some people who post on this Forum,
or on any other TG/TS web site on the internet,
who claim vary fast growth or initial physical changes from ANY feminizing regimen,
are NOT to be used as role models for ANY expectations of your own personal results.
...or for expectations from ANY other feminization regimen.

And this goes both ways:
In my own personal transition journey, which began in 1985 (long before there were any feminizing options available)
... and even though some type of intersexed condition was present within me --
... it took my body about ten months to begin to see feminizing physical changes,
even using consistent dosages of drug hormones which were considered to be near-lethal dosages.

The analog is that some born girls go into puberty and begin changing into women, at age 8-9 years old.
Others go into puberty at the more traditional age of 12-14.

You also need to understand that some of the M2F TG/TSs who enter into feminization regimens/programs,
lie about their results, as if feminizing and breast growth were some sort of competition they feel they need to win.

There is just no such thing as normal or average for noticing first feminizing results.

Anyone who says there is, is misinformed, ignorant (uneducated), or lying in order to make a sale.

I have two questions, the first I know I've seen discussed on one of the many posts here.
Do the breasts start off at different rates? The left is shaping while the right seems to be lagging behind. And do they always even out?
People aren't really semetrical (sp?) but a one cup bra isn't the idea here.
Second that I've not seen mentioned here yet. Anyone put themselves throught he cogiati test? How accurate did you find the score? Better yet, there's a couple of you (Dianna) that are so well versed in this, I know you could call bunk on it or validate it.
Looking forward to the replies.  Have a great weekend all.

I took that test twice, scoring just over 400 (where less than 100 is super macho and over 400 is feminine) both times ... well into the 'pink' range. I have no idea how accurate or reliable that (or any other gender test) is. Let's just say that I'm not the most 'super macho' person around. All my life I have had to try acting 'male' just to fit in. Effeminate mannerisms and behaviors have never been well tolerated by my family, at my places of worship or where I worked.

... it's that same old gender binary system ... ruthlessly enforced!

This is very normal.  The same is true of born women.  We all tend to grow faster on one side, but as you pointed out the other does eventually catch up.  Although from my experience and talking to other women it seems like they might always be about half a cup different.  But don't worry!  Visually, No one can notice except you!

The cogiati test is one of the least reliable tests around and one shouldn't base any important decision on the results of it. Because of the way the test is it will merely reflect back to you what you put into it and so it has no objective basis is deciding anything really. You already know the results anyway before you take the test in other words.

Sweetie the Cogiati test is fun to play with. But if you want to take a real test then take the one in your own  mind. Now that's the real tuffy ain't it?

Did you know that Gender Identity Disorder is the only time where the patient tells the doctor that he is a she or visa versa. No doctor can tell you that you have it, nor can any test tell you that you have it.

So most likely by the time you tell the doctor you have it you will find yourself teaching the doctor all about it. Because you will have spent so much time on the web looking it up and sifting through all of the crap out there to find the real answers.

I call bunk on the cogiati test. All people are different whether they are male or female and that test seems to just test perception with a little bit of emotional response thrown in for good measure. I don't remember my exact score, but it said i was a "possible transexual"...what a joke. I told my therapist about it and she even called bunk on it. It is way to simple of a test to diagnose who you are or how you feel. Even a full blown therapist isn't going to make the assumption that you are transexual from just a few questions or one visit. I know who I am and no internet test will tell me different :)

The answer to the breast question about growing at different rates and being "lopsided" isn't so easy. Yes it is possible that they will grow at slightly different rates from time to time, and no, they won't always balance out, but they usually end up about a half a cup from one another.

Hope that helps

Love,
Carolyn Anne

> Yes it is possible that they will grow at slightly different rates from time to time

Whether the subject is born-girls becoming women, or male bodied people becoming women,

...yes -- the breasts do not grow at the same rate.

For most people, the left side will grow faster for a while, and the right will catch up eventually.
For a few people, the right side will grow faster for awhile, and the left will catch up eventually.

The difference in size while they are growing, is not a big difference;
it is really only noticeable to the individual who is worrying about it.

It is all the same kind of "normal" as that most people are right handed,
and a few are left handed.

> ...yes -- the breasts do not grow at the same rate.

Important to note also, is that some people have breasts which grow straight out from the body,
nipples which point parallel to each other...

Other people have breasts which grow slightly to the sides, nipples pointing a little bit away from each other.
This style/type of breasts also do tend to form slightly under the armpits.

While the straight ahead, parallel-nipple breasts might be more fun to look at,
the slightly to the sides breasts make MUCH better cleavage,
after a person eventually finds the right bra to tame them...!

(It is trial and error, for those who would ask where to find the "right bra".
That is why places which sell bras, sell SO many different kinds...)

This would be a good time to look at, for example, Renaissance Era paintings and statues;
most of the women depicted in those, do have the slightly outward breast styles.
It is normal.

And for Gawd's sake, please stop the nonsense on other TG/TS web sites,
written by ignorant (uneducated) people
who would claim that outward-pointing breasts, or under arm growth,
is the result of using herbs instead of drug hormones.
Those are beyond-stupid commentary.

My left one is a fair amount larger than the right one, though both look OK when I put my bra on. I do think the right one is catching up though. My areolas are larger, though the nipples are about the same. I am hoping that they get a bit plumper, though I think I have seen Dianna post something to the effect that this is unlikely, so I'm not sweating it. My butt is larger and while a larger butt seemed to be the first effect I noticed, it seems to have been rather unchanged for a while. My breasts seem to be taking all the action lately. Oh, yeah, I like to put my hands on them too. Don't know if this is the guy still in me, or what, but I still like to feel them. I've been at this for about a year and a half and things seem to be moving along well. My penis has atrophied some too. It's especially noticeable when soft. And erections do seem to be "harder" to get. But the orgasms are still just fine, so all is good. Just different.

Was thinking about tommyinauburns first question here this weekend.
There seems to be "that moment" when you first notice and are convinced a physical change is taking place. I've seen a post where she knew by seeing cleavage when sleeping on her side. Hips filling out etc.  While the mood change was very fast, my physical moment was this weekend. When getting out of the shower I did the towel wrap under the arms and over the top of the chest. THE TOWEL STAYED THERE! It used to slide off.
Reminds me of that saying "a watched pot never boils". Checking daily might not expose results but then out of the blue....

Learning how to utilize that pair of buds. An irony though as in doing this, I'm covering up the little smiles that looked at me in the mirror.

I may have to order ES next month. Though my T count is naturally low, I still find myself copping a feel often. Is that the remaining T or just appreciating art?  ;-)

What I noticed first with just taking E and F was the change in my mental state. I felt more calm all the time, more relaxed and at ease with the world around me. Though I was not physically changing they changed my way of thinking about the world.

I know many guys that could use that benefit w/o the feminization. Would probably cut beer consumption by half in this county.
